Description
Compressor bearings are bearings used inside a compressor
(for example in air compressors, refrigeration compressors, turbochargers for engines, etc.).
Their main job is to support and guide the rotating shaft of the compressor during operation.
Technical features
Purpose:
-
Compressor bearings are designed to:
-
Reduce friction between moving parts (the rotating shaft and the compressor housing).
-
Maintain shaft alignment, preventing vibrations and wear.
-
Support radial and/or axial loads generated by high-speed rotation.
-
Ensure the compressor’s efficiency and lifespan by avoiding overheating or mechanical failure.
