Description
Pressure regulators for refillable cylinders are devices used to reduce, control, and stabilize the high pressure of the gas stored inside the cylinder, making it safe and suitable for use with downstream equipment.
A refillable gas cylinder typically contains gas at very high pressure (150–300 bar or more).
A regulator:
-
reduces this high pressure to a usable level (often 0–10 bar, depending on the application)
-
keeps the outlet pressure stable, even as the cylinder pressure drops
-
protects tools, hoses, and the operator from overpressure
It is installed directly on the cylinder valve.
